#DAPHNE This year, Ukraine joined the Interreg Europe program for the first time
Interreg Europe is an interregional cooperation program co-financed by the European Union.
The European Union aims to reduce inequalities in development, growth and quality of life within and between European regions. The program contributes to this goal and runs from 2021 to 2027.
Interreg Europe aims to share solutions to regional development issues, improve policies and support the implementation of best practices. The program involves 36 countries.
Ivano-Frankivsk was one of the first Ukrainian cities to join the program, successfully joining as a "discovery partner" in the project of the second DAPHNE call for proposals, and applied for the third call for proposals.
On May 27-28, the kick-off meeting of the project "DAPHNE - Decarbonizing Healthcare in the EU Regions" took place in Florence, Italy, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency policies in 9 partner countries and implement innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions in the healthcare sector.
As part of this four-year project, we will have the opportunity to study the best practices of European partners in the field of energy efficiency of healthcare facilities, get acquainted with their policies in this area, and analyze the energy efficiency of the city's healthcare facilities.
