Competition to support innovative development of entrepreneurship

About the competition

The competition is organized by the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and City Promotion of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council as part of the project initiative “Creating Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War” and is being implemented within the framework of the project “Support for Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities (SRER)” implemented by UNDP with the support of the international cooperation project ReACT4UA (“Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade”), funded by the German Government.

You can apply from April 18 to May 7, 2024.

The 10 winners of the competition will receive up to UAH 100,000 each for project implementation.

Who can receive an innovation voucher?

Micro-enterprises operating in the Ivano-Frankivsk city territorial community in the creative economy (activities in the field of advertising, architecture, art and craft, design, fashion, cinema, video, photography, music, performing arts, publishing, research and development, software, computer games, electronic publications, and television/radio) and have applied for participation in accordance with the Competition Regulations.

Important: a potential participant can submit only one project.

What projects can receive funding in the form of an innovation voucher?

• Innovation vouchers - research and development of new products, which may include design services, product modeling, industrial design for the product, product customization for a new type of customer, algorithm development; certification, patenting, licensing, which may include payment for the preparation of documents for obtaining national certificates, patents, licenses and certification, patenting, licensing in international organizations; copyright registration; use of design lab services
• Marketing vouchers - creation and updating of websites, their promotion; development of a product brand, logo, packaging design; distribution of products in online stores; conducting a promotional and marketing campaign;
• Vouchers for consulting services - preparation of research and development aimed at improving the economic efficiency and competitiveness of the business, which may include the preparation of a business model, business plan, financial plan, preparation of the company's export strategy, establishment of business processes; assessment of investment attractiveness and determination of the value of the business for attracting investment - business valuation; assessment of business cases for investing own resources (for example, development of new products, entering new markets, creating own

What are the criteria for evaluating projects?

• impact of project implementation results on increasing business capitalization: creation of intellectual property, attraction of investments, etc;
• impact of the project results on the commercial result: increase in sales, export growth, launch of new products or services;
• project novelty: how innovative the project is for the company and the city;
  project relevance;

According to each of the criteria, the competition committee assigns points from 1 to 10. Based on the results of the total score for each submitted project, the Competition Commission makes a decision.

Important: the project implementation period is 3 months from the date of the contract.

How to apply for an innovation voucher?

1. Read the terms of the competition.
2. Submit a project description, project budget, application form, and an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs.
3. From April 18 to May 7, 2024, send completed, scanned, and signed documents to the following email address: undp.if2024@gmail.com or bring hard copies to the following address: 23 Ukr.Peremohy St., Promprylad.Renovation, 3rd floor, office of the Project Management Unit of the Investment Policy Department (from 9.00 to 16.00, lunch: 12.00-13.00).
4. Prepare a short (up to 3 minutes) presentation of your project - the date and time of the presentation will be announced to the participants separately.
