«Building Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War» (SRER)

Programme: project initiative «Building Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War» is carried out within the framework of the project «Support to Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities” (SRER)», implemented by UNDP with the support of the international cooperation project ReACT4UA ("Utilization and Implementation of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine in the field of trade"), that is financed by the German government and is implemented by the German federal company "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH". The project is aimed at increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in view of the accession to the EU.

The main partner: the Executive Committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council represented by the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and City Promotion.

Project budget: UAH 34,102,125.59 or 921,679.07 $

Including:

UNDP contribution – UAH 27,311,583.67 or 738,150.91$

The municipality's contribution (co-financing) – UAH 6,790,541.92 or 183,528.16$

The goal of the project initiative is to stimulate the economic recovery of Ivano-Frankivsk by creating a "business" infrastructure in the building "A" of the Potocki Palace for local and relocated SMEs. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to perform the following tasks:

  • To carry out restoration works of the first launch complex of building "A" with an area of ​​more than 589 square meters, namely: arrangement of a conference room, arrangement of a co-working space for representatives of creative industries, creation of a sound recording studio and an analogue/digital photo studio.
  • To unite representatives of creative industries in the newly created space, to create conditions for their development and scaling.
  • To provide voucher support to at least 10 SMEs.

Planned activities within the framework of the implementation of the project initiative:

  • Updating design and estimate documentation and passing the examination, which includes updating project documentation in accordance with changes in the project, inclusion of new elements or changes to existing ones, as well as drawing up an estimate based on the updated documentation.
  • Execution of construction and engineering works – in accordance with the received design and estimate documentation (DED) of the tender procedure for the performance of construction and engineering works.
  • Purchase of equipment for launching recording studios, analogue/digital photography.
  • Purchase of equipment/furniture for co-working and conference rooms: laptops, projector, monitor, conference communication system, microphones, etc.
  • Planning and holding of events – press conferences, a series of master classes on analogue photography and sound recording, meetings with stakeholders, conferences of creative industries and forums.
  • Conducting a voucher support competition: 10 entrepreneurs will receive voucher support to support their business within the framework of the competitive selection.
