#SRER In Ivano-Frankivsk, the results of the project initiative were presented
In Ivano-Frankivsk, the results of the project initiative "Creating Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War" were presented. This event was the final stage of the project aimed at developing the economic potential of the community through support for entrepreneurship and creative industries. The space created in part of the Potocki Palace will now become an important hub for work, collaboration and innovation.
Project initiative: "Creating Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War" was implemented in the Ivano-Frankivsk City Territorial Community as part of the Support for Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities (SRER) project. The project is funded by the German government and implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine.
The project aims to stimulate the economic recovery of the community by creating business infrastructure for local and relocated entrepreneurs. The restoration covered a part of the historic Potocki Palace building, which was transformed into a functional space for entrepreneurial and creative activities.
What was done during the project implementation:
- Restoration and finishing works were carried out on an area of more than 589 m² in Building A of the Potocki Palace.
- Arranged:
- Conference hall (Congress Centre) for events and activities;
- Coworking space for entrepreneurs, start-ups and representatives of creative industries;
- A recording studio with professional equipment for podcasts, audiobooks, jingles and other audio content;
- A photo studio for analogue and digital photography with darkroom and digital processing area;
- Plumbing networks (water, sewerage) were laid throughout the Potocki Palace.
- 3 meetings with stakeholders were held, which allowed us to take into account the needs of entrepreneurs, artists and the public when forming the concept of the space.
- Voucher support was provided to 10 entrepreneurs for the implementation of innovative business solutions.
- A number of events were held to attract the target audience to the space:
- Masterclasses on sound recording and analogue/digital photography;
- Creative Industries Conference;
- The final forum.
Future functionality of the space:
The created infrastructure will become the basis for the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular in the creative industries. The space will be available for entrepreneurs, artists, educational initiatives, as well as events, trainings, workshops, sound recordings, photo shoots, etc.

The initiative ‘Building Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War’ is implemented within the framework of the project ‘Support for Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities (SRER)’, implemented by UNDP with the support of the international cooperation project ReACT4UA (‘Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade’), funded by the German Government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The project aims to increase the competitiveness and resilience of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in view of EU accession.
