#SRER A workshop on audio recording: podcasts, audiobooks, radio

2025.02.20

Yesterday, the Potocki Palace hosted a workshop on audio recording (Day 2) “Podcasts, Audiobooks, Radio: How to Create Content that Captivates the Listener”. The event brought together entrepreneurs, media content creators, musicians, journalists, and everyone who works with sound or is just taking the first steps in this direction. Participants had a unique opportunity to learn about modern recording technologies, work with professional equipment, and test their skills in creating high-quality audio content.

The program of the event included:
- Introduction to audio recording technologies - participants learned about the key principles of working with sound, received recommendations on setting up audio equipment, recording and editing audio files.
- Practical audio recording skills - participants had the opportunity to work independently with professional equipment, tried themselves as announcers, hosts, and sound engineers, as well as created podcast fragments and recorded short audio formats.
- Recording a fairy tale excerpt accompanied by a musical instrument was an interactive experience that allowed not only to practice voice acting skills but also to add artistic voice acting and musical accompaniment to the content.
- Live performances - the musical part of the event was a bright conclusion to the master class. Participants had the opportunity to enjoy jazz compositions performed by Zoryana Ros and classical pieces by Vasyl Semkovych, which further revealed the importance of high-quality sound recording in creating audio content.

The event was organized within the framework of the Support for Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities (SRER) project, implemented by UNDP with the support of the international cooperation project ReACT4UA (Reaching and Implementing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade), funded by the German Government and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
