#SRER The City Mayor visited the GUSHKA brand
As part of his traditional meetings with entrepreneurs, City Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv visited the GUSHKA brand, which specializes in the production of products made from natural wool of Carpathian sheep and became one of the winners of the “Competition for Supporting Innovative Entrepreneurship Development in Ivano-Frankivsk City Territorial Community 2024”.
GUSHKA received a voucher, namely UAH 100.0 thousand, for consulting services to develop an export strategy focused on the UK and US markets. This gave the brand the opportunity to create a step-by-step plan for finding new partners and presenting unique products internationally, as well as contributing to the development of the city's economy.
GUSHKA is a brand that respects craftsmanship and cherishes Ukrainian traditions. All products of the brand are handmade using ancient weaving techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. The range includes handmade carpets, bedspreads, tapestries, pillows, poufs and traditional Ukrainian clothing. The production uses natural wool of Carpathian sheep that graze freely on the slopes of the Carpathians, which adds environmental friendliness and authenticity to the products.
The GUSHKA brand is a vivid example of how a combination of tradition, creativity, and innovation can help strengthen the local economy and bring Ukrainian brands to the global market.
This competition was held within the framework of the project “Supporting the Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities” funded by the German Government. The project is being implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine.
