On December 14, 2023, a kick-off press conference was held for the project initiative “Creation of Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War,” which is being implemented within the framework of the project “Supporting Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities.” The project initiative "Creation of Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War" is being implemented by the Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council represented by the Department of Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and City Promotion.

The aim of the project initiative is to stimulate the economic recovery of Ivano-Frankivsk by creating a "business" infrastructure in Building A of the Potocki Palace for local and relocated SMEs. The following tasks are planned to be completed during the project implementation:

  • Perform restoration work of the first start-up complex of building "A" with an area of over 589 sq.m., namely: equipping a conference hall, equipping a co-working space for representatives of the creative industries, creating a sound recording studio and an analog/digital photo studio.
  • Bring together representatives of the creative industries in the newly created space, create conditions for their development and scaling.
  • Provide voucher support to at least 10 SMEs.

The “Creation of Infrastructure for Businesses Affected by the War” initiative is being implemented within the framework of the “Supporting Rapid Economic Recovery of Ukrainian Municipalities (SRER)” project, which is being implemented by UNDP with the support of the ReACT4UA (“Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in Trade”) international cooperation project, which is financed by the Government of Germany and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The project is aimed at increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in view of joining the EU.
