Ivano-Frankivsk implements the best practices of community economic development

The team from Ivano-Frankivsk took part in the Training Program on Economic Recovery and Community Development organized by the Association of Ukrainian Cities as part of a joint project of GIZ Ukraine and UNDP Ukraine / UNDP in Ukraine with the support of the German Government.

This program is not only about training, but also about sharing experiences between municipalities that are implementing initiatives to develop their local economies.

 What was discussed?
 How to ensure sustainable development of communities after the completion of projects
 How to adapt the municipal economy to new challenges
 How to effectively implement local initiatives in partnership with business
 How to create a favorable environment for entrepreneurs

The main focus is on practical tools for the development of municipalities that can be applied right now.

Participants from Ivano-Frankivsk presented the results of their local initiatives, shared their experiences and challenges in the process of their implementation.

The speakers of the training include leading experts in local government, strategic development, and project management:
