The third working meeting of D4UC!

On October 15-17, the third Dialogues for Urban Change working meeting on the topic “Ukrainian-German Mutual Learning Network for Integrated Urban Development” took place in Mannheim, Germany. The participants of the event shared the latest news and changes in cities and partnerships in the field of urban development and planned activities for the future.

As part of the working meeting, the participants held discussions on new housing models for Ukraine and brownfield development, as well as visited the Franklin project on the territory of former industrial buildings and learned about the peculiarities of housing and office space arrangement on former industrial sites. The participants also took part in a bicycle tour of the new Franklin and Spinelli urban districts of Mannheim.

The participants of the working meeting jointly discussed and exchanged experience in the implementation of the neighborhood management system in Ukraine and expert assessment of the development of medical and educational districts with representatives from Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Potsdam, Berlin and other cities of the network.

In the end, the participants exchanged their impressions and ideas for further cooperation within the Dialogues for Urban Change.
