Another cross-border grant project has come to an end!

On December 1, a final press conference was held dedicated to the achievements and results of the "Safe Future" project of the Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Program 2014-2020, financed by the European Union ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020

      Project partners:

- Main beneficiary - Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council (Ukraine)

- Beneficiary 1 - Solotvinyno Village Council (Ukraine)

- Beneficiary 2 - Baia Mare Municipality (Romania)

- Beneficiary 3 - Municipality of Sighet (Romania)

As part of the "Safe Future" project, data centres were built in each of the partner cities: Ivano-Frankivsk, Solotvyno, Baia Mare and Sighet.

The data centre in Ivano-Frankivsk consists of:

  • server part (location of servers for data analysis and processing)
  • rapid response center (workplaces for dispatchers of services involved in the work of the Data Center are installed)
  • room with back-ups (room for storing information).

An extremely important result of the project is the quick and effective interaction between the various services responsible for public order and safety. This is due to a number of factors: the presence of a unified system for receiving, transmitting, analyzing and storing data for all relevant services; the ability to place dispatchers and duty officers in the Data Center premises with direct access to said data; obtaining information about a dangerous or potentially dangerous event in the form of system-analyzed data along with video and photo materials.

The Data Center will become the foundation for the further development of the “Smart Ivano-Frankivsk” smart city, and its establishment will create opportunities for the development of new projects in areas such as municipal transport management, e-education, geographic information systems, traffic management, and more.

This will allow responding to various emergencies as quickly as possible and guarantee the safety of local residents and guests of our territorial community.

Thank you to all participants and those involved in the project implementation!
