As part of the "Safe Future" project, the creation of a data center in Ivano-Frankivsk is planned, which will consist of a server part, an operational response center and a room with a back-up system. A data center or data processing center is an object consisting of networked computers, data save systems and computing infrastructure used to collect, process, saving, and distribute large amounts of data.

Data center components also require significant infrastructure to support the center's hardware and software. This includes power subsystems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), ventilation, cooling systems, fire suppression, backup generators, and connections to external networks. There are many types of data centers and service models. Their classification depends on whether they belong to one or many organizations, how they fit (if they fit) into the topology of other data centers, what technologies they use for computing and data storage, and even their energy efficiency.

The project "Safe Future" (SF, 1HARD/4.3/36) is implemented within the framework of the Joint Operational Program Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 with co-financing from the European Union ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 . The project aims to build four data centers in each of the partner cities: Ivano-Frankivsk, Solotvino, Baia-Mare and Sighet. The data center in Ivano-Frankivsk will be located in a public building at the «Rukh» stadium.
