#ALTHERA As a part of the implementation of the project, alternative therapy Department will be created

     As a part of the implementation of the "ALTHERA – Alternative therapies in Maramures and Ivano-Frankivsk" project, an alternative therapy Department will be created on the basis of Ivano-Frankivsk municipal institution "Central City Children's Hospital" completed with modern rehabilitation equipment.

     The problem of rehabilitation of children with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and central nervous system that causes severe movement disorders, remains relevant and socially important. According to the WHO, the incidence of births of children with congenital disorders (birth defects) reaches 4-6% of the total number of newborns. In Ukraine, birth defects occur in more than 2,300 cases per 100,000 live births.

     The creation of an alternative therapy center and completing it with modern rehabilitation equipment will expand the spectrum of physical rehabilitation methods for effective combating of movement disorders of the musculoskeletal system and central nervous system.

     The project ALTHERA – Alternative therapies in Maramures and Ivano-Frankivsk (1HARD/4.1/37) is implemented within the framework of the Joint Operational Program Romania Ukraine 2014-2020 with the co-financing of the European Union ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020.
