#NEF Successful medical projects in time of war: challenges and opportunities
This was the subject of a lively discussion during the training session "Medical Business in Time of War" in Ivano-Frankivsk last week. Interventional oncologist Svyatoslav Balaka shared how he started his business, how he and his team gained unique knowledge, how they learned and developed. He also shared what made it possible to restart the unique Interventional Surgery Centre in Ivano-Frankivsk from scratch.
Kateryna Tereshchenko, Sviatoslav's business partner and director of the Centre, spoke about non-medical issues in medicine: crisis management, planning horizons in times of war, and ethical features of marketing in the medical field.
The event was held as part of the New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk (NEF) project, which is a project that envisages the transformation of the city into a competitive, innovative economic centre. The project is being implemented by a consortium of partners: The Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, the innovation centre Promprylad.Renovation, the urban laboratory METALAB, the economic development agency PPV Knowledge Networks, and the Teple Misto platform.
