New specialized vehicle for water supply network maintenance in Ivano-Frankivsk community

2024.12.27

A new specialized vehicle has been purchased for the maintenance of water supply networks in Ivano-Frankivsk community, which are serviced by Ivano-Frankivskvodoekotechprom.

The vehicle was purchased as part of the project “Modern Methods of Water Supply System Management” under the Small Projects Fund for Municipal Development Policy (KPF), implemented with the support of the non-profit Engagement Global and its SKEW service “Cities in One World”, working on behalf of and with the financial support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with the German city of Erfurt and its financial support. And importantly, without co-financing from the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The total project budget is 50.0 thousand euros (2.2 million UAH).

Also, as part of the project:

  • a working trip with representatives of Ivano-Frankivskvodoekotechprom to the city of Erfurt to familiarize themselves with the processes of water supply for the city's population, processes and technologies for leakage detection, familiarized themselves with the sewage system of Erfurt and took part in a demonstration of sewer technologies;
  • equipment for video diagnostics of pipes (pipeline tele-inspection system) was purchased, which allows for a detailed inspection of sewer communications, timely detection of damage and blockages;
  • a generator for production needs was purchased.

We are sincerely grateful to the non-profit Engagement Global and its SKEW service “Cities in One World” for their support in implementing our first project under the Small Projects Fund for Municipal Development Policy (KPF).
Special thanks to the German city of Erfurt, which, in such a difficult time for us, decided to jointly participate in the project, partially contributed to the financing, sincerely shared their experience in providing clean water to the city's residents and believed in our joint success in the project!

Solidarity partnership with German cities is our new direction of partnership and it is gaining momentum!
