The creation of a national infrastructure of charging stations will not only boost the spread of private electric vehicles, but also the development of new services using electric vehicles, such as in the delivery and logistics sector. At the same time, the development of electric transport and related infrastructure means reducing Ukraine's dependence on fossil fuels, reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere, and improving the overall environmental situation.
In turn, we have joined the development of this infrastructure as part of the Romania-Ukraine Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project. The charging station for electric vehicles with solar panels, which will be installed near the Rukh Stadium, will not only charge an electric car, but also provide free Wi-Fi, as well as useful information, including information on reducing CO2 emissions through the use of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles.
The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is funded by the European Union through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the countries participating in the ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program.
