#Part4CM The Romania-Ukraine Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project promotes the trend of transition to electric transport, alternative fuels, and green energy to protect the environment.

Ukraine has every chance to become a leading producer of biodiesel. The modern formula for biodiesel production allows it to be used for almost all diesel-powered vehicles. Ukraine has land resources and plant raw materials, a processing industry and professional specialists.

It also has several dozen enterprises with the necessary production capacity. Most of them are currently idle. Biodiesel is produced from oil seeds such as rapeseed, soybeans, and industrial oil. This raw material is currently purchased by other countries. Our country has the potential to replace a significant share of traditional diesel on the market. Sunflower, oil seed residues, and livestock waste can also be used as raw materials.

Our country also has enough resources to produce alcohol, which is a component of biodiesel. The industry that will provide the country with biodiesel and bioethanol is not only our energy independence, but also the sustainable development of the "green" course and the reduction of our carbon footprint. Not only the welfare of the state, but also the environmental safety of our lives, depend on it.

The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is funded by the European Union through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the countries participating in the ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program.
