#REBTES Ivano-Frankivsk – on the map of European business ecosystems!
On July 15, the kick-off meeting of the international project "REBTES – Developing Regional SME Business Transfer Ecosystems" took place at the Entrepreneur Support Center Diia.Business on the territory of Promprylad.Renovation, implemented within the Interreg Europe programme.
REBTES is an initiative aimed at preserving existing businesses through effective ownership transfer, supporting entrepreneurs in the process of ownership change, introducing modern European approaches to business transfer, and creating new opportunities for sustainable economic development.
The project is implemented with the participation of 9 partners from 6 countries: Finland, Belgium, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Croatia, and Ukraine. The partner from Ukraine is the Department of investment policy, projects, international relations, tourism and city promotion of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.
Deputy Mayor Sviatoslav Nykorovych and Director of the Department Ihor Popadyuk delivered welcoming remarks. The project presentation was delivered by Head of the Project Implementation Office Lidiia Cherevko.
Within the framework of the project, the following is planned:
- conducting study visits to EU countries
- launching a School for Business Sellers and Buyers
- creating practical tools to support SMEs
- engaging stakeholders in dialogue
- analysis and adaptation of European policies in the field of business transfer
- analysis of policies and assessment of the existing business transfer ecosystem in the region
The total project budget is EUR1,489,562, of which EUR 1,165,039.60 is EU funding. For Ivano-Frankivsk, the budget is EUR 103,944, of which EUR 83,155 is an EU grant.
The implementation period is 4 years, until 2029.
REBTES is an opportunity to adapt the best European practices in Ivano-Frankivsk, to build a modern infrastructure for business continuity and to preserve jobs in the region.
