#NEF Training "How to create a successful digital product"

2022.10.20

Once again, we have a full house, a super interesting topic and a great speaker. Thank you for your participation!

Yesterday, at the event, Igor Polich, founder and CEO of Devlight, spoke about the 5 steps to creating a successful digital product. As a result, the event participants received a consistent guideline that will help them develop a new product.

      Catch some insights:

Step 1: Search for a business idea.

Often, a good impetus for finding an idea is the desire to solve your own problem, which, as it turns out, is not just a problem for you. Igor Polich's advice is to launch a startup when you are ready to give your all to working on your idea. How do you find a good enough idea for a startup? Listen to people, keep an eye on changing needs, identify trends, and offer solutions.

Step 2: Create a product around the idea.

Answer a few questions. Who is our user? What problem are we solving? Is the user willing to pay for our way of solving their problem? After you have developed an MVP (usually the first version of the product ready for testing), listen to your users and observe how they use your product, ask them what they would pay money for. Also, measure important metrics.

Step 3: Keep the user in the product.

You need to understand why the user continues to use the product. This is an important step that will help you analyse whether you are on the right track and how your product is developing.

Step 4: Scaling the project.

There are several prerequisites for scaling the product: the product satisfies the basic target audience, has organic growth, business processes are ready to scale, there is a sufficient amount of own and attracted resources.

Step 5: Capitalisation of the project. Attracting investments.

Igor Polich spoke about the main risks at this stage, the indicators that need to be measured, and what factors can precede failure. One of his tips is to be honest with yourself.

Use the tips for your ideas and stay tuned for our next events.

The event is part of the New Economy of Ivano-Frankivsk (NEF) project, which is a project that envisages the transformation of the city into a competitive, innovative economic centre. The project is being implemented by a consortium of partners: The Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, the innovation centre Promprylad.Renovation, the urban laboratory METALAB, the economic development agency PPV Knowledge Networks, and the Teple Misto platform.
