On 13 January 2023 was held a meeting with representatives of the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine

           The mayor met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza. During the meeting, they discussed preliminary cooperation within the framework of the international technical assistance project «Partnership for the Development of Cities», which is being implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities with the financial support of the Government of Canada. There was also talk of support for the possible start of a partnership with a Canadian city in which the Ukrainian diaspora is well developed.

           Mrs. Larisa Galadza inquired about the general situation in the city. Particular attention was paid to internally displaced persons, the process of their integration into the community and the implementation of international programs aimed at ensuring the comfortable adaptation of IDPs and ensuring the stability of civil society. «Ukrainians showed Canada and the whole world our dedication, awakened a sense of purpose.            The Ambassador assured that Canada will continue to support Ukraine in the long term, until reconstruction.
