The event "Network of Building Culture (Urban Planning) and Memory Culture" took place in Lviv!

      The second working meeting of the cities was held under the slogan - Network of building culture and culture of memory as a factor in the reconstruction of Ukraine, what role can international partner cities play

      Oleg Sachkov, Deputy Director of the Department, attended a meeting of the German-Ukrainian Cities Cooperation Network in Lviv, where partners from different cities such as Dusseldorf, Potsdam, Chernivtsi, Lutsk, Rivne, Vinnytsia and others were present.

      Mr. Bernd Rubelt, Deputy Mayor of Potsdam, made an introductory speech with the idea of the Building and Memory Culture Network and its possible role as a contact point for finding partners and expertise for future German-Ukrainian planning and projects in the partner cities.

     The event featured presentations of local initiatives and projects in the field of memory culture, cultural heritage preservation, and modern urban planning. In particular, Volodymyr Haidar, director of the Space of Innovative Creativity Palace, spoke about the peculiarities of revitalizing municipally owned architectural monuments on the example of the Potocki Palace in Ivano-Frankivsk.
