The EU and Germany will provide Ukrainian small businesses with 50 grants of up to 10,000 euros each
The EU4Business program, funded by the European Union and the German government, will be supported by another wave of grants - each up to 10,000 euros (or 400,000 UAN) - 50 small businesses affected by full-scale war and are ready to develop business in the field of supply of essential goods.
Grants will need to be used within six months for:
- preservation and creation of new jobs (payment of wages, no more than 3 employees);
- purchase of equipment and raw materials or materials;
- rent for premises;
- equipment leasing (excluding personal vehicles);
- expenses related to the relocation of the business;
- consulting services (including marketing and brand development);
- certification services.
Who can apply for a grant?
Business entities registered in accordance with the procedure established by law no later than December 31, 2019 on the territory of Ukraine, which is under the control of the government of Ukraine; who temporarily moved from the territory of administrative territorial units or suffered as a result of hostilities.
Legal entities of any organizational and legal form of ownership who meet the following criteria can submit an application:
- the main type of economic activity that meets the requirements for receiving a grant;
- the company has from 11 to 49 employees;
- the owner is exclusively citizens of Ukraine;
- do not carry out their activities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on the date of submission of the application and do not have their subsidiaries in the russian, Belarus and other countries on the sanction list;
- the annual income from any activity does not exceed an amount equivalent to 10 million euros.
Priority in the evaluation of grant applications will be given to companies engaged in the production of vital goods and services for citizens of Ukraine or carry out their activities in the field of health care or architecture and engineering.
The selection of candidates will continue until September 10, 2023. The evaluation commission will consist of independent business experts. The selection will have two stages. At the first stage, applications will be checked for compliance with the rules. The second stage is an interview with company representatives.
