#ALTHERA Centre for alternative therapy for children established in Ivano-Frankivsk
We are so accustomed to our own lives that we often do not notice the difficulties faced by those around us. The problem of rehabilitating children with musculoskeletal disorders and central and peripheral nervous system disorders that lead to severe motor disorders continues to be relevant and socially significant.
Despite the diversity of congenital and acquired diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system and pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, most of these children have symptoms that are dominated by a motor defect: delayed formation, underdevelopment, impaired or loss of motor functions, central and peripheral paralysis and paresis, as well as ataxia of varying degrees of severity.
That is why the creation of an alternative therapy centre in Ivano-Frankivsk for children with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and central nervous system is an extremely important and necessary initiative. This centre has become not only a place for professional rehabilitation, but also a centre for research and development of new methods of treatment and rehabilitation.
Ensuring that these services are accessible to all segments of the population, regardless of their social status, is also important. This is the only way to ensure that all children with movement disorders are fully supported and empowered to reach their full potential and become active members of society.
The project "Altera - Alternative Therapies in Maramures and Ivano-Frankivsk" (1HARD/4.1/37) was implemented within the framework of the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020, co-financed by the European Union ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020.
