#CULT.ROUTE Kick-off press conference of the CULT.ROUTE project
On 21 February 2025, the official kick-off meeting of the CULT.ROUTE - The thematic route of castles 2 project, implemented within the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 (HUSKROUA) programme, took place in Satu Mare, Romania. This initiative brings together partners from 4 countries to preserve, restore and promote historic castles as an important part of European cultural heritage.
The participants of the event were greeted by representatives of the main project partner and partner organisations, who emphasised the importance of this initiative and its impact on the development of cultural tourism in the border regions.
During the official presentation, the main goals and objectives of the project were presented in detail. CULT.ROUTE aims to strengthen cultural cooperation by expanding the thematic route through castles, which promotes the common cultural heritage of the cross-border region. Each partner shared their vision, experience, and expectations of the project, which was an important step in building strong cooperation.
A working meeting of project team representatives was also held to discuss the practical aspects of the initiative. The participants agreed on the main stages of work, considered the key challenges and opportunities facing the project, and identified priority tasks for the coming period.
