#CULTROUTE Cultural Heritage with a New Sound

2026.09.14

As part of European Heritage Days and within the framework of the Thematic Route of Castles 2” project under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary–Slovakia–Romania–Ukraine program, a festival was held at the Potocki Palace complex, dedicated to cultural and historical heritage.

The festival featured a variety of formats and activities for guests: a theatrical performance, themed tours, archery, tastings of dishes from different national communities, living sculptures, musical performances, and a traditional dance workshop.

Throughout the day, visitors not only watched the program but also participated directly in the activities, discovering history and culture through new experiences. For guests, this was an opportunity to gain a fresh perspective on the city’s historical heritage, combining an understanding of the past with a vibrant contemporary cultural environment.

The combination of the palace’s historic setting with contemporary artistic formats created a unique atmosphere. Music, theater, traditions, and interactive activities filled the palace with life, transforming it into a meeting place for different generations and cultures.

The festival ended with a spectacular fire show, which brought the eventful day to a brilliant close.
