#DAPHNE The visit of the Italian partners of the DAPHNE project to Ivano-Frankivsk
The visit of the Italian partners of the DAPHNE project to Ivano-Frankivsk is another step towards strengthening international cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and sustainable healthcare systems.
On 14-15 May, our city hosted a delegation from Italy as part of the DAPHNE project - Decarbonising Healthcare in the EU Regions, funded by the Interreg Europe programme. The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience in improving energy efficiency in hospitals, effective infrastructure management, and the implementation of modern solutions to reduce energy consumption in healthcare facilities.
The partners had the opportunity to see first-hand how two key institutions of the city's healthcare system - the Central City Clinical Hospital and City Clinical Hospital No. 1 - work. The Italian guests were interested in the examples of modernised energy supply systems and energy efficiency measures implemented despite the challenges of wartime.
One of the key events of the visit was a meeting with Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv, during which they discussed the role of municipalities in promoting sustainable policies and the importance of international projects in the city development. With the Director of the Department of Economic Development, Ecology and Energy Conservation, participants discussed the city's approaches to energy management, plans for thermal modernisation of buildings, and opportunities for expanding partnerships in the energy transition.
The partners also held a working meeting with representatives of JSC Ivano-Frankivskoblenergo to discuss the technical aspects of modernising the power supply network and integrating the latest technologies. The Italian partners also got to know Promprylad's facilities and visited the Potocki Palace, one of the key historical and cultural sites in Ivano-Frankivsk.
This visit not only strengthened the partnership, but also showed that Ivano-Frankivsk is confidently moving towards European energy efficiency practices, is open to cooperation and is ready to share its experience.
