#EdAH Curatorship as a space of care: a new workshop within the project

2025.12.11

One more creative event - a curatorial workshop - took place within the framework of the project “Educational-Artistic Horizons beyond the Borders” (EdAH), implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union, and was dedicated to a contemporary understanding of curatorial practice as a process that goes beyond selecting works and creating an exhibition.

Together with curators and researchers Aliona Karavai and Asya Tsisar, we explored curatorship as a tool for community building, working with vulnerable contexts, and developing infrastructures of support.

Participants:

  • learned about various approaches to working with artists, space, and themes;
  • discussed the ethical and political dimensions of curatorial work;
  • highlighted the importance of trust, care, and sensitivity in creating exhibition and research projects.
