#EdAH Behind the Canvas: Building a Sustainable Art Career
An engaging workshop for adults took place at the School of Contemporary Art within the project “Educational-Artistic Horizons beyond the Borders” (EdAH), implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union.
Together with Yeva Kafidova, we explored the aspects of artistic practice that often remain “behind the scenes,” yet are essential for professional development:
- how to organize a studio and archive artworks
- how to build a strong online presence
- how to structure a portfolio, bio, and CV
- which design principles to consider when presenting them
We also discussed:
- income strategies and pricing
- working with private collectors
- collaboration with museums and galleries
- reputational risks and conscious professional decisions
It was a space for open conversation about resilience, freedom, and inner doubts within artistic practice.
Practical advice, personal experience, and lively discussion — everything that helps us move forward.
