#EdAH Start of the School of Contemporary Art!

2025.10.10

We are pleased to announce the launch of the School of Contemporary Art within the framework of the project “Educational-Artistic Horizons beyond the Borders (EdAH)”, implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union.

The school is new opportunities for creativity, inspiration and self-expression. It is created as a learning community and a creative laboratory, where art becomes a tool for knowledge, dialogue and development.

The school program consists of two areas:

School for teenagers (11–17 years old) is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary art, discover new ways of self-expression and look at creativity as a form of communication with the world. Here, learning takes place in an informal, open atmosphere, where everyone can try themselves as an artist.

School for adults is a space for those who already have artistic experience and seek to develop it, as well as for beginners who want to understand contemporary art more deeply. Participants will be able to receive mentoring support, new knowledge, meet representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk art community and find their own artistic language.

Classes will be held on weekends and will last about five hours. The first classes will be held on October 11-12 at the Potocki Palace. The learning format combines joint and independent work: participants will meet with curators, invited teachers and artists, participate in workshops, discussions and joint creative experiments.

The main part of the learning process will be work on their own artistic research or art project, which will help participants systematize the knowledge they have gained and bring their own idea to life.

The culmination will be a graduation exhibition, where participants will be able to present their projects. This is an opportunity to express themselves, share the results of their creative searches and become part of the cultural life of the community.
