#EdAH Virtual Reality in Design: From Idea to Prototype
Participants of the 3D learning workshop series continued exploring modern technologies and discovered the potential of virtual reality (VR) in design, architecture, and the creation of new objects.
During the practical session, participants tried VR headsets and immersed themselves in virtual environments, where they could explore form, scale, volume, and spatial solutions. This hands-on experience demonstrated how VR can help visualize interiors, architectural objects, and product designs before they are physically created.
Particular attention was paid to how virtual reality can complement traditional sketches and help evaluate design ideas directly in a three-dimensional environment.
At the same time, participants continued working with a 3D engraver, transforming their own sketches and digital ideas into physical prototypes. In this way, they followed the entire creative process — from the initial concept and sketch to the finished object.
The workshop demonstrated how combining digital technologies with practical tools opens up new opportunities in product design, interior design, and architecture.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Educational-Artistic Horizons beyond the Borders ”(EdAH)”, implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union.
