#EdAH Exploring Local Art in Ivano-Frankivsk
As part of the adult workshop, participants took part in an introductory session dedicated to discovering the local art scene of Ivano-Frankivsk. They had the opportunity to visit the studios of local artists to observe how space shapes the creative process and thinking, as well as to explore the specific features of artistic practice and the interrelation between space, material, and final result.
During the visits, discussions went beyond technical aspects of artistic work to include everyday practices - how an idea emerges, how it transforms during the creative process, what factors influence artistic decisions, and how an initial concept evolves into a completed artwork.
In addition to familiarizing themselves with the local context, participants began developing their own art projects that will be presented at the upcoming exhibition of the School of Contemporary Art. The discussions emphasized the importance of thoughtful planning - not only on a technical level, but also conceptually, with a clear understanding of what idea or dialogue each artwork seeks to initiate.
