Grants for Co-Investment for Business Resilience

         The USAID Investment for Business Resilience (IBR) Project, formerly known as the USAID Financial Sector Reform (FSR) Project, announces a funding opportunity for all private financial intermediaries, including banks and non-banks, business angels/venture capital firms/private equity funds, and non-financial corporations that provide or facilitate financing to businesses, such as financial technology companies (fintechs) legally registered in Ukraine.

        The IBR Project invites private financial institutions with a large and diverse portfolio of corporate clients and the financial and operational resources to identify, evaluate and provide or facilitate co-investments in eligible businesses with high potential for increased sales, including exports, and jobs to apply in response to this Request for Proposals. The joint investment or financing shall be made through one or more of the following financial instruments or risk-sharing mechanisms:

  • Traditional loan, including working capital loans and investment loans
  • Alternative financing related to commercial transactions, such as leasing, factoring, purchase orders, supply chain and inventory financing
  • Insurance or other risk mitigation instruments that provide financing, such as crop insurance, equipment insurance
  • Supply chain, value chain, trade and input finance for Ukrainian farmers and agribusinesses
  • Private investment
  • Innovative solutions to improve financial sector infrastructure
  • Partnership to provide co-financing to SMEs through a grant provided by the IBR Project.

        Applications will be accepted no later than July 12, 2024 (23:59 Kyiv time). Applications are available on the IBR Project's grant portal and must be submitted using the online form. The language for filling out the form is English or Ukrainian. The Project reserves the right not to review and evaluate incomplete applications, as well as those submitted after the deadline and by e-mail.
