#HealthCities Days - three days of intensive study in life and health sciences!

2025.11.04

As part of the project “Health and Life sciences industries’ growth through cities alliances (Health Cities)”, implemented within the Interreg Europe program, a meeting of partners was held in Sant Cugat del Vallès and Barcelona (Spain) - one of the most dynamic European centers in the field of biomedicine and biotechnology. The event brought together representatives of municipalities, scientific institutions, businesses, research centers, and innovation hubs from various European countries.

The program included three thematic days:

  • Funding Day - discussion of mechanisms for financing innovative startups in the healthcare sector with the participation of representatives of the municipality of Sant Cugat, ESADE Creapolis, ACCIÓ, Banco Sabadell, and other organizations.
  • Talent Day - events dedicated to attracting young professionals and developing cooperation between universities, businesses, and innovation ecosystems. A great example of networking, where students have the opportunity to find their first job or internship, and businesses have the opportunity to attract talent.
  • Regulatory Day - visits to HP, Roche Diagnostics, and Grifols, where participants discussed the interaction between innovation, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in healthcare.

The HealthCities project aims to strengthen cooperation between city ecosystems, educational institutions, research centers, and businesses, creating the conditions for the sustainable development of the healthcare and life sciences industries. This format of meetings facilitates the establishment of new partnerships, the dissemination of innovative solutions, and the formation of a single European space of knowledge and practices in the field of health.
