#HealthCities Project kick-off press conference!
On 8 July, the official kick-off meeting of the project “Health and Life sciences industries’ growth through cities alliances (Health Cities)”, implemented within the Interreg Europe programme, took place at the Diia.Business space at Promprylad.Renovation.
Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Levytskyi and Director of the Department for Investment Policy, Projects, International Relations, Tourism and City Promotion Ihor Popadiuk addressed the participants with welcoming remarks. Head of the Project Implementation Office Lidiia Cherevko presented the key directions of the initiative.
The goal of the project is to create a modern ecosystem for the development of biomedical startups, implementation of innovations in the healthcare sector, and expansion of opportunities for medical services in small and medium-sized cities.
Within the framework of HealthCities, it is planned to:
- analyse policies and challenges in the LSH (Life Science & Health) sector
- exchange experience between regions
- support startups and small businesses
- develop action plans to improve local policy
- attract personnel and develop medical infrastructure
The total budget of the project is over EUR 1.8 million, of which more than EUR 1.4 million is EU funding. Ivano-Frankivsk is allocated EUR 154,550.
Ahead – workshops, study visits, stakeholder engagement and international events. Ivano-Frankivsk is taking another step towards building an effective and innovative healthcare system!
