2025.03.14

The kick-off press conference of the project “Health and Life sciences industries’ growth through cities alliances (Health Cities)”, implemented within the framework of the Interreg Europe programme, took place.

Ivano-Frankivsk has become part of the European network of healthcare innovations!

Today, the main partner of the Health Cities project, Sant Cugat del Vallès City Council (Spain), held a kick-off press conference, which was an important step in the implementation of the initiative, which brings together 9 partners in 7 European countries.

The main aim of the project is to create an ecosystem that will facilitate the growth of biotech startups, expand the healthcare market, and introduce advanced technologies into the healthcare sector.

Participation in the project will provide Ivano-Frankivsk with new opportunities to support entrepreneurship in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and digital health sectors. It will also help to attract investment, create new jobs, and introduce modern technological solutions into the healthcare sector.

Objectives of the project Health Cities:

 - Improving policies and governance in healthcare and life sciences

- Development of a start-up ecosystem and support for entrepreneurship in the field of biotechnology

 - Creating strategies for attracting investment and qualified specialists

 - Exchange of experience between European cities and implementation of best practices

 - Strengthening cooperation between scientific institutions, business and the public sector
