#IFSynergy Ivano-Frankivskvodoechotekhprom Staff Learn to Use the Updated Digital System

2026.08.27

As part of the project “IFSynergy – Cross-border cooperation in SMART management of water supply systems in the cities of Siedlce and Ivano-Frankivsk”, implemented under the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021–2027 Programme with co-financing from the European Union, a training session was held for employees of the Municipal Enterprise Ivano-Frankivskvodoechotekhprom.

During the training, employees explored the possibilities of the updated information system and gained practical experience using its main tools.

Particular attention was paid to the new website https://www.vodokanal.if.ua/ — its structure, navigation, accessibility features, as well as the online map of emergency and repair works. Employees learned how to quickly find the necessary information and help consumers use the available digital services.

The training also covered modern communication channels with consumers: the consumer account, Viber bots for individuals and legal entities, and the PWA application. These tools allow users to submit meter readings, check their balance and charges, pay for services, and receive information about emergency water outages.

Another important topic was the digital system for meter controllers, which helps manage routes, enter readings directly on site, take photographic records, and synchronize data with the server.

The training also covered information security and cyber hygiene. Employees discussed password security, consumer data protection, how to recognize phishing messages, and what to do in the event of a cyber incident.

Such training sessions help not only introduce new digital tools but also ensure their effective use in the utility’s daily work. After all, digitalization of water supply is not only about technology — it is also about people who know how to use it effectively.
