#IFSynergy What is IFSynergy and why should water be ‘smart’?
Today, it is hard to imagine a modern city without a reliable water supply. But it's even harder to imagine that the water in our taps can be part of a smart system that detects faults, saves resources and responds to changes in real time. This is how the SMART water supply concept works.
This is the goal that Ivano-Frankivsk and the Polish city of Siedlce are trying to achieve in cooperation under the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine programme. The two cities have joined forces to make water supply more efficient, modern and sustainable. It's not just about replacing pipes or updating equipment – it's about changing the approach. It's about implementing digital solutions that allow us to better manage water resources, prevent problems before they arise, and use water wisely.
Smart water supply is when a city cares about every drop. It is when innovations work for people: reduce water losses, cut costs, and improve the quality of services. This is when the community does not just consume resources, but manages them wisely.
This project is about choosing innovation, responsibility, and sustainable development, as well as about cooperation that changes not only engineering solutions but also the approach to urban management in general.
The project "IFSynergy – cross-border cooperation in SMART management of water supply systems in Siedlce and Ivano-Frankivsk" is being implemented within the framework of the Interreg Next Poland – Ukraine Programme 2021-2027.
