#INSPIRE Learning through play, movement, and creativity in a therapeutic garden
As part of the “INSPIRE project – Inclusive and Developmental Spaces for Progressive, Innovative and Adaptive Education", implemented under the Interreg NEXT Romania–Ukraine 2021–2027 programme, a practical workshop titled “School Classroom in the Garden” was held in Botoșani (Romania).
This time, learning took place not at desks, but outdoors — in a therapeutic garden. Here, movement, creativity, play and communication became tools for learning and development.
Participants worked with emotions and learned to identify their triggers, practiced verbal and non-verbal communication, and developed creativity and initiative.
Physical activity was also an important part of the workshop — sports exercises and team competitions helped develop basic motor skills, maintain interest in an active lifestyle and, at the same time, strengthen team spirit.
For educators, this was an opportunity not only to see new methods in action, but also to gain practical tools for working with children with special educational needs. Ukrainian specialists will be able to use this experience in their schools and share it with their colleagues.
