#INSPIRE Learning through the study of the natural world
As part of the implementation of the project “Inclusive and Nurturing Spaces for Progressive, Innovative, and Responsive Education (INSPIRE),” which is being implemented under the Interreg NEXT Romania–Ukraine Program 2021–2027, the birdhouse at the Municipal Children’s Ecological Station of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council was renovated.
The renovation of the space became an important step towards creating a comfortable and safe environment both for the birds and for the children visiting the ecological station. The renovated birdhouse will not only be a place for animal care, but also an important part of the educational process, where children will be able to get to know the natural world better, learn about the specifics of bird care, and develop a caring attitude towards living creatures.
Such practical activities help children to develop responsibility, attentiveness and an ecological mindset. Birdwatching, participating in care and interacting with nature create a special space for learning through experience and direct engagement with the environment.
