#INSPIRE A new step towards the development of the City Children's Ecological Station!
As part of the INSPIRE project - Inclusive and Developmental Spaces for Progressive, Innovative, and Adaptive Education, implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union, a spatial plan for the City Children's Ecological Station (CCES) has been developed.
This was the first step towards creating a modern, open, and inclusive space that combines learning, ecology, recreation, and interaction with nature.
The City Children's Ecological Station is a unique place where hundreds of children learn about the natural world every year through observation, experimentation, and creativity. That is why it is important to give this area a new, well-thought-out layout that meets the needs of modern education.
The spatial plan provides for the zoning of the territory into more than 15 thematic locations: open-air learning areas, a gazebo for classes and master classes, an open amphitheater for events, garden therapy, children's play areas, a composting and waste sorting area, green corners for observing nature, and a photo zone with a live inscription “ECO.”
Special attention is paid to preserving old trees and the orchard, as well as planting new, climate-resistant plant species. New footpaths, garden paths, eco-sensory panels, and “sensory paths” will promote the development of children's perception, curiosity, and harmonious relaxation.
This plan not only modernises the space, but also shapes a new philosophy of interaction with the environment - through play, learning and co-creation. Its implementation will enable CCES to become a true centre for environmental education, creative events and family leisure in the future, where everyone will find a place for themselves.
