#INSPIRE Educational event for children “Ecolandia” - an interactive journey
On 17 December 2025, an educational event for children was held at the Municipal Enterprise “City Children's Environmental Station” - an interactive journey called “Ecolandia”, organised as part of the project INSPIRE project - Inclusive and Developmental Spaces for Progressive, Innovative, and Adaptive Education, implemented within the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 program with the support of the European Union.
Participants worked in small groups and visited four themed stations. At the “Research Laboratory” station, children learned how to use microscopes, examined water samples and plant cells, and learned about the importance of clean water and the role of scientific research in preserving the natural environment.
At the “Gardening” station, participants sowed microgreens themselves, learned how to properly prepare the soil and care for plants, and realised the importance of a responsible attitude towards living nature.
The creative stations became a space for developing imagination and emotional connection with the environment. In the Creative Workshop, children created clay amulets with leaf prints and discussed the beauty of nature and its symbols. In the Art Studio, participants painted affirmation-style pictures, choosing positive environmental or personal statements that promoted a caring attitude towards the environment.
The event concluded with a group discussion and reflection session entitled “What did I discover in Ecolandia?”, during which the children shared their impressions, new knowledge and emotions.
The Ecolandia educational event confirmed once again that interactive and interdisciplinary formats are an effective tool for environmental education of children and for shaping a responsible attitude towards nature from an early age.
