#InterCities Exhibition “The Armenian Cathedral in Lviv and Its Creators”
We invite you to attend the exhibition events as part of the “CITY-STAR” festival—a place where architecture, history, and research reveal the true character of the city.
Here’s what awaits you:
Exhibition “The Armenian Cathedral in Lviv and Its Creators”
May 7 at 2:30 PM
Potocki Palace, Ivano-Frankivsk, 5 Shpytalna St.
This is a unique project dedicated to one of Lviv’s most iconic architectural landmarks and the people behind its creation. First organized in 2015 by the International Cultural Center, the exhibition has already been shown at 17 locations in Poland and four in Armenia, and is currently on display at St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.
An opportunity to see how cultures, traditions, and architectural influences intertwine in an urban setting.
Opening of the exhibition “A Complex Moment”
Author: Maksym Chornyi — painter, restorer.
May 8 at 1:00 PM and May 9 at 3:00 PM
Potocki Palace, Ivano-Frankivsk, 5 Shpytalna St.
The exhibition explores the perception of form and space through a combination of traditional painting and its opposite—“non-paintings.” Mirrored compositions create a tension between the image and its reflection, prompting the viewer to look at familiar objects and their structure in a new way.
Architectural and Archaeological Exhibition
Opening and curatorial tour led by researchers from the Potocki Palace.
May 8 at 3:30 PM and May 9 at 12:00 PM
Potocki Palace, Ivano-Frankivsk, 5 Shpytalna St.
The exhibition explores the history of the urban space through artifacts and research:
— a collection of authentic bricks illustrates the development of urban construction;
— tiles and medical artifacts shed light on the palace’s history as a hospital;
— recent archaeological discoveries help us rethink the past and its impact on the modern city.
This is an opportunity to see how the city took shape — through materials, details, and human stories.
