#InterCities “STAR CITY” — A Space for Multicultural Dialogue

2026.05.08

On 7 May, the Potocki Palace hosted the grand opening of the ‘STAR CITY’ festival, which is being held as part of the project ‘Intercultural consciousness of multinational cities: tolerance of new generations’. The festival aims to promote dialogue, mutual understanding and cultural exchange through literature, art and historical heritage.

The festival kicked off with the exhibition ‘The Armenian Cathedral in Lviv and its Creators’, which opens up a dialogue between cultures, architecture and history. The exhibition is dedicated to one of Lviv’s most significant architectural landmarks and the people behind its creation.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by guests from abroad, including representatives from Poland and Romania, which underscored the international nature of the festival and the importance of intercultural dialogue between countries and generations.

The exhibition was first organised in 2015 by the International Cultural Centre and has already been displayed at 17 venues in Poland and four in Armenia. Today, it can also be seen at St. Sophia’s Cathedral in Kyiv.

The event provided an opportunity for guests to see how cultures, traditions and architectural influences intertwine in the urban space, forming a shared cultural heritage.
