#InterCities Theatre programme for City Day as part of the STAR CITY festival
As part of the City Day celebrations within the STAR CITY festival, theatre performances took place at the Potocki Palace, bringing together various stage productions, renowned actors and the special atmosphere of a cultural festival. The events formed an important part of the festival programme on the second day, combining art, history and contemporary theatrical forms.
The event is part of the project ‘Intercultural Consciousness of Multinational Cities: Tolerance of New Generations’, aimed at fostering cultural dialogue through art.
The If Draco Theatre presented the play ‘By the Ark at Eight’ — an ironic tale of friendship, doubts and difficult choices.
The “Living History” Theatre staged the play “In Your Name” — a dramatic portrayal of historical events in Stanislaviv in the early 18th century, allowing the audience to experience the atmosphere of the city’s past more deeply.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Drama Theatre presented the play "Flowers in the Devil’s Hands" — an emotional story about people and love in times of war, which serves as a reminder of the importance of memory and its impact on the future. Directed and with music by Nadiya Levchenko, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
The performances attracted considerable interest and drew large crowds, who came together to watch the shows and share a cultural experience.
All events were accompanied by professional simultaneous interpreting in English–Ukrainian, provided by students from Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University as part of their interpreting placement, which facilitated effective communication between participants and guests at the events.
