Ivano-Frankivsk has joined the Polaris programme

Polaris Programme expands cooperation: 12 more partner communities join the direction of starosta institutional capacity development
The second stage of the selection of communities to participate in the Polaris Programme in the area of Institutional Capacity Development of Starostas' Institutions has been completed.

A total of 87 applications were received from 20 oblasts of Ukraine, including
35 - urban communities
30 - settlement communities
26 - rural communities
6 - military administrations
1 community - from the temporarily occupied territory

Chernihiv, Rivne and Kharkiv oblasts were the most active.

The selection process took place in three stages: ranking, motivational interviews, and the final decision of the experts. Based on the results of the selection, 12 communities were recommended for cooperation, including:

Ostroh, Rohatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Shumsk, Sarny, Obukhiv, Storozhynets, Rokytne, Rozdilnya, Kazankiv, Kurnia and Boyarka communities.

This brings the total number of Polaris partner communities in this area to 22.Online courses for starostas and the opportunity to receive expert advice are provided for other communities.
