City Children's Ecological Station of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council has received its own solar power station
To mark the centre’s 40th anniversary, a 20 kW hybrid solar power station with an energy storage capacity of around 41 kWh has been commissioned at the centre. The centre can now operate even during power cuts. Children can continue their studies in a warm, well-lit environment, whilst the greenhouses and animal enclosures have an uninterrupted power supply.
The project was initiated by the City Children’s ecological station, in particular by Halyna Hlusko and Oleksandra Pryadkina, and implemented with the support of the German associations Potsdamer Solarverein e.V. and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf klimaneutral e.V. A total of 138 donors from Germany took part in the charity fundraising campaign, including residents of our twin city, Potsdam.de???????? Together, they raised around €24,000, without drawing on the city’s budget.
Many thanks to our German partners and everyone who took part! The partnership between Ivano-Frankivsk and Potsdam has once again delivered tangible results for the community
