#NEF Humanitarian laboratories in Ivano-Frankivsk
One of the tasks of the Ivano-Frankivsk New Economy project is to introduce communities of entrepreneurs and scientists to each other so that entrepreneurs better understand the possibilities of the city's research centers and scientists could provide business with relevant expertise. We are doing this so that more science-intensive business projects appear in Ivano-Frankivsk. There are already examples of such successful cooperation, we will write about them soon in the next publications.
Previously, we published a list of physical and technical and biological laboratories, who work in Ivano-Frankivsk. Today we are introducing humanitarian laboratories, which explore issues of law, psychotherapy, and other topical issues.
Cognitive Modeling Laboratory
The laboratory was founded in 2018 on the basis of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University for research purposes and the introduction of advanced methods for measuring and modeling the human psyche.
In the same year, the laboratory took part in Vodafone Age Prediction Challenge on kaggle.com, where took 13th place among 34 Ukrainian teams.
The laboratory actively cooperates with scientists from (USA) in order to implement the latest diagnostic methods and psychotherapy of children and adolescents in Ukraine.
For example, in 2018-2019, the laboratory organized a number of seminars for Ukrainian specialists, who work with children with autism spectrum disorders.
What the laboratory does:
- modeling individual differences and psychological characteristics in normal and mental disorders.
- application of machine learning technologies to analyze biological, psychological, social, economic, demographic, geopolitical, cultural, religious factors of mental health and the occurrence of mental disorders, human safety and well-being.
