#NEF Biodesign technology: how it works in practice
Networking event "Biodesign technology: how it works in practice" is for product and fashion designers, architects, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Biodesign is the knowledge and skills, which are necessary for a design using the most affordable ecological, local, and healthy materials, which biologically decomposing.
Technological and economic opportunities, along with ecological advantages, offer "biodesign" as a new industrial paradigm for the production of material artifacts in the 21st century.
This new design practice foresees the integration of living organisms such as bacterium, (micro) algae, fungi and plants into the design as a material source (for example, non-animal leather and fur; oil-free plastics and foams), energy and food generators, light sources, water and air purifiers, heat regulators, etc.
Incorporating biology into product design is a quite new technology currently.
We invite you to learn more about the latest technological innovations and find out what their practical use in the world and economic is.
