#ParksMatter Molodizhnyi Park is Becoming an Even More Comfortable Place for Recreation, Sports, and Leisure!

2026.07.30

As part of the "City Parks Matter - a new approach to urban greenery management in Ivano-Frankivsk and Rzeszów (ParksMatter)" project, implemented under the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021–2027 Programme, the renovation and improvement of Molodizhnyi Park in Ivano-Frankivsk is ongoing.

What has been implemented already?

An amphitheater has been installed — a multifunctional public space for relaxation, gatherings, and hosting various events. Already today, families with children spend time here, golden ages socialize, and the space is gradually becoming a place for leisure, reading, creativity, and shared activities.

Outdoor exercise equipment for the golden ages has been installed to help promote an active lifestyle.

Chess tables have been set up for fans of intellectual pastimes, along with table tennis tables, creating new opportunities for active recreation.

The space for pet owners has been updated — dog exercise equipment and comfortable benches for their owners have been installed.

A workout area has been installed, which has already become a place for outdoor sports.

New Corten steel entrances to the park have been installed; they serve as navigational landmarks, creating a recognizable identity for the area and contributing to the park’s cohesive architectural design.

The eco-town has been completed: interactive information stands have been installed, and garden plots and a compost bin have been set up. This is a space where children and adults can explore nature, learn to grow plants, familiarize themselves with the principles of composting, and discover the park’s natural environment. Its goal is to foster a caring attitude toward nature through play, exploration, and hands-on experience.

Work is ongoing!

Renovations are currently continuing on the sports field, which, once completed, will be even more comfortable and safe for sports activities.

More changes are on the horizon:

  • the installation of two modular public restrooms
  • the installation of an inclusive playground, which will serve as another place for active recreation for the park’s youngest visitors.

Molodizhnyi Park is gradually transforming into a modern, accessible, and multifunctional public space where everyone — from children to seniors — can find a place to relax, play sports, and socialize.

Please take care of the park and help preserve it. Do not damage the equipment, benches, sports facilities, or playground equipment; keep the park clean; and respect the work of the people who are creating this park.
