Modern models of green space management

As part of the awareness-raising campaign envisaged by the project "City Parks Matter - a new approach to urban greenery management in Ivano-Frankivsk and Rzeszów (ParksMatter)", we are informing about the importance of new models of green space management in cities.

In modern cities, park management goes beyond just planting trees and regular cleaning. Integrated approaches are being implemented that combine environmental standards, urban solutions, and technologies. For example, automated irrigation systems are used to save water, and biodiverse plantings are grown to support local ecosystems. Cities also involve citizens in decision-making on parks, which increases their level of responsibility and interest. In addition, some cities are introducing the concept of "new generation parks", which harmoniously combine environmental and technological solutions, from interactive stands to energy-efficient lighting.

Within the ParksMatter project, we plan to apply a participatory approach to the management of urban green spaces and apply best practices for the care of urban parks, which will improve the quality of greenery.
