#Part4CM One of the goals of the RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is to promote ideas and develop energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation.

2022.09.22

The use of energy resources and energy-saving technologies have been extremely relevant for decades. And this is not just a tribute to fashion, but a real requirement of the times, especially important against the backdrop of the ever-increasing cost of energy resources.

The first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "energy saving" is limiting energy consumption. However, in addition to the concept of energy saving, there is another concept - energy efficiency. The latter, unlike energy saving, focuses not on saving energy consumption but on its optimal use. Energy efficiency is the rational consumption of all energy resources aimed at reducing their use while providing households and technological processes with the same amount of energy and the same level of comfort.

In other words, energy efficiency is the prudent and appropriate use of energy resources (natural gas, river and sea water, wind, oil, coal, etc.) without sacrificing the comforts of everyday life, such as heat, lighting, or cooking. And at the same time, it is a way to reduce emissions of harmful greenhouse gases by reducing energy production. After all, less energy production means less pollution and less destruction of the natural environment. Improving energy efficiency and rational use of available energy resources is also a real source of savings.

After all, the less energy we use, the less we pay.

The RO-UA Partnership for Climate Change Mitigation project is funded by the European Union through the European Neighborhood Instrument and co-financed by the countries participating in the ENI CBC Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program.
